Once you have installed the proper ODBC Connector and identified your individual databases in your account in the Aurora Data Center, the next task is to inform Word that a specific database exists. Fortunately, this is a nearly completely automated process that occurs when you use the Aurora program to convert a Questionnaire into the code necessary to create a webQ.
When you click on Aurora's "Convert to web Questionnaire" button, in addition to making the conversion and saving the code, Aurora will also ask you the name of the database to which the newly created webQ should be associated. That action will a) tell Word of its existence and b) allow Word to access the ODBC connector, which will c) allow your intelligent Word form to see and draw data from that database.
This path only needs to be established once. Other forms created subsequently will gain automatic awareness of the database as a source.
