Q: Can a template created in Aurora (before it is converted to a WebQ) use a Master List?
Or, do I have to use Doxserá DB to use a Master List?

A: It’s an interesting question.

A Q&AT that references a Master List will be able to include the first column of the Master List when it is converted and uploaded. The questions in the webQ would then be able to reference that information as possible Answers, as a list of states, for instance.

When a Master List is used as a “mini-database” with relational information, say. as a list of employees names and contact information, if the names are converted and uploaded the balance of the data can best be accessed by saving the Master List as an Excel spreadsheet (or in its own database) where the form can be empowered to access specific Excel data, a phone number for instance, based on the name that is Fetched from Aurora webData.

An intelligent form created with Aurora can simultaneously access data from AwD, separate SQL databases, Access, Excel, Outlook Contacts, Master Lists, Passages, and the Questionnaire.

Remember that Aurora includes all of the features and functions of Doxserá DB, so by definition there is never a need to use DB in preference to Aurora.
