Master Lists are one of the backbones of intelligent documents, a sort of mini-database for often used information. Master Lists allow an author to create a reference sheet of related, stable information: a list of partners in a firm, along with their contact information; a parts list, with descriptions, prices, and typical uses; branch offices, with managers and contact information; any sort of data that is used frequently.
